Who we are a fit for

We strengthen teams that run their own research but do not want to risk the quality of recruitment.

We take on the search, verification, coordination and seating of respondents, with no blurred responsibility between contractors.

Research agencies

Delegate recruitment for peak projects, parallel fieldwork or complex targets their own team cannot cover in time.

In-house research teams at brands

Run studies themselves but do not keep a field team on staff, so they bring in an external contractor for a specific project.

Independent moderators

Run focus groups and in-depth interviews themselves, but need a reliable partner for recruitment, seating and respondent coordination.

UX and product researchers

Look for users of a specific product or category, rare professional segments or people with very narrow usage scenarios.

Full recruitment cycle

From the screener questionnaire to a person who is ready to talk.

No grey areas and no “that’s not on us”. What you get is a confirmed respondent, prepared for the session.

One contractor for the entire process

Screener, recruitment, verification, technical preparation, payments and reporting work as a single system.

01

Preparing the screener questionnaire

We build the questionnaire from your audience description and program the online version on our own Discovery platform. Questionnaire branding is available: ours or yours.

02

Sourcing, selection and re-screening

Our own online panel plus adaptive field recruitment through social media, thematic communities, parsing of open data and a network of team leaders. About the panel

03

Checks and verification

GetContact, social media analysis, IP and technical parameters, a pre-interview. “Professional respondents” do not get through.

04

Technical briefing and seating

A coordination call, consent to recording, a connection check and setup for Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex or any other platform.

05

Incentive payment

We take on all settlements with respondents. The client never discusses money with them; payments are processed as part of the service.

06

Quota management and reporting

Real-time online status tables, prompt contact with your team and on-the-fly adjustment of recruitment when the conditions change.

By separate arrangement: venue logistics for offline focus groups in Kyiv, live streaming of sessions to the client and accompanying participants to the location.

What makes us different

Infrastructure that holds up under complex targets.

Our own panel, technical verification and a field team work together, so we can look for more than just “broad” audiences.

Shared online tables with recruitment progress and quotas. You see every confirmed participant.

GDPR

Legal clarity

Ukraine’s Law On Personal Data Protection, informed consent, confidentiality of materials, a contract and an NDA.

How we work

Five steps. Each one has a person responsible and a concrete result.

01

Brief and screener

We receive the audience description, build or refine the screener and program the online version.

Timeline: 3 days
02

Feasibility assessment

We analyse how reachable the audience is, forecast the recruitment period and agree the quotas and the incentive.

Timeline: 1 day
03

Recruitment and screening

Launch through the panel and field channels, screening questionnaire, checks and pre-interviews. The first interviews are possible roughly two days after recruitment starts.

Depends on the complexity and size of the audience
04

Confirmation of participation

A Calendly calendar, reminders, coordination of the connection or the arrival.

24–48 hrs before the session
05

Post-project report

A final completion table, payments, project artefacts and fieldwork notes.

Our cases

From high-income IT sole proprietors to entrepreneurs whose business was affected by the war.

If your audience is anywhere near that level of difficulty, chances are we have already looked for it.

How we found them

Professional communities, targeted Telegram channels, Djinni, Freelancehunt and LinkedIn.

Case 02

Homeowners aged 50+ who had gas connected during the past year

How we found them

Regional recruitment, local communities, real estate agencies, TikTok, Facebook and Telegram channels.

Case 03

Owners of new premium cars bought within the past 5 years

How we found them

Car clubs, official service centres, niche channels and forums, specialised websites and the client’s own database.

Case 04

Entrepreneurs whose business was affected by the war

How we found them

Business associations, local support initiatives, grant projects, open registers and cooperation with city councils.

Case 05

Supermarket shoppers for keeping consumer diaries

How we found them

Online recruitment on Telegram, a motivation check, a dedicated bot and a separate data control mechanism.

For the past two years Discovery Research has been our partner in recruiting respondents for in-depth interviews. The team works well with both standard and difficult target audiences, making sure participants are selected in line with the requirements of the study. What we value most is their reliability, sense of responsibility and readiness to react quickly to changes in projects.

How we filter out the “professionals”

Six layers of checks before a respondent reaches the moderator.

We filter out bots, clickers and people who “live on surveys” at several stages: technically, behaviourally and through a live conversation.

01

Technical check

IP, device, OS, browser, screen resolution, URL transitions, acquisition sources and individual tokens.

02

GetContact

Checking the number through a third-party source helps to spot contacts with a typical “survey-taker” reputation.

03

Social media analysis

We confirm that the profile is genuine, especially for B2B, doctors, executives and other hard-to-reach audiences.

04

Anti-clicker

We check the logic, the consistency of answers and the completion time. Identified clickers are blocked permanently.

05

Pre-interview

A short live conversation: we assess the ability to express thoughts clearly and to answer open questions.

06

Cool-down

We do not invite the same people to sessions on similar topics back to back. The exact policy is agreed per project.

Kseniia, SMM and seating coordinator

SMM and seating coordinator

Writes effective, non-intrusive copy to attract respondents, coordinates seating before the interview and the handover to the moderator.

Pricing policy

We give an exact estimate after the brief: the price depends on the real complexity of the target.

What the price depends on

  • Complexity of the target and its incidence in the population
  • Number of respondents and quotas
  • Location: online, Kyiv or the regions
  • Deadlines: how much of a “yesterday” job it is
  • The size of the respondent incentive
  • Add-ons: studio, streaming, replacements

After the brief we assess feasibility, timing and budget before the field starts.

Terms of cooperation

  • A service agreement
  • An NDA covering project materials
  • Cashless settlement
  • Payment once the work is completed
  • We can work with both sole proprietors and companies

FAQ

What people ask most often before the start.

How long will it take to recruit N people with a complex target?+
It depends on the specific target and the quotas. After the brief we give a realistic forecast at the second step of the process. Recruitment usually takes up to one week.
Can a respondent be replaced if someone does not show up?+
Yes. Replacing a no-show is part of the job. The exact mechanism and timings depend on the format and are agreed at the brief.
Who pays the respondent incentives?+
We handle the incentive payments as part of the service. You never discuss money with respondents, which removes the legal, operational and reputational burden.
Can I sit in on the screening?+
We usually provide access to the questionnaire and to the real-time status table. Attending the pre-interview is agreed separately.
How do you protect the screener, the guide and other materials?+
An NDA, access limited to the project team and compliance with Ukraine’s Law On Personal Data Protection. The details can be fixed in a separate annex to the contract.
Do you work with Zoom, Microsoft Teams and other platforms?+
Yes. We set up the connection to the client’s platform, brief the respondent on the camera, microphone and application, and stay with them until the handover to the moderator.
What about VAT and paperwork?+
We operate as an LLC on the simplified tax system: group 3, 5% single tax, no VAT. Settlement is cashless; we can work with both sole proprietors and companies.
How do you block “professional respondents”?+
Six layers of protection: technical check → GetContact → social media analysis → anti-clicker → pre-interview → cool-down policy.
Do you work outside Kyiv and outside Ukraine?+
Online formats are available across Ukraine. On request we work with European markets and international online audiences.
How do you find respondents for in-depth interviews?+
Respondents for in-depth interviews are found in two ways: through the Discovery RESEARCH proprietary panel with screening against the target audience criteria, and through field recruitment in targeted channels (Telegram, Instagram, thematic communities, cooperation with bloggers). We verify every candidate additionally (contact check, social media analysis, pre-interview) in order to filter out “professional respondents”. Read more about how wording and channels affect the result in our article on recruiting respondents for IDIs and focus groups.
